Green lifestyle:
Thank you for your interest in our ecologically minded apartments. We are a small family owned company dedicated to providing sustainable and less toxic housing for environmentally conscious individuals.
Due to our embracing of green housing ethics, we ask that individuals residing in our apartments refrain from the use of the following chemical substances inside the home: perfumes, colognes, body sprays, air fresheners, Glade plug-ins, candles, cigarettes and burnables, pesticides, scented detergents, scented fabric softeners and dryer sheets.
We encourage the use of alternative products such as naturally derived soaps, pure essential oils, fragrance-free detergents, fragrance and scent free fabric softeners, natural pesticides, plant based body and cleaning products.
We understand that people have certain products that work best for their hair and skin, and with that consideration and to make things easier it's okay for tenants to use regular mainstream scented shampoo and conditioner, soap, hair products and deodorant, or what some might consider to be the essential basics. We strive to provide a more natural, less toxic living experience and home for our lovely tenants.
Some of the benefits of living in a Syracuse Green Housing apartment are: better Indoor Air Quality (IAQ,) less toxic remodeling, nontoxic paints with little to no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), paints in soothing Earth tones, pesticide-free natural landscaping, permaculture gardens with fruit trees and berry bushes, pet friendly housing, an Organic Community Garden, great neighbors, off street parking, basement laundry, profit investments in energy efficient appliances and renewable energy, donations to organizations focusing on the environment, disaster relief, genocide and starvation, and employee salary support of organic farming and local Co-ops and CSA’s (Community Supported Agriculture) and our tiny office/cabin home is solar powered, off the grid, energy efficient and low-VOC.
